Selling It Locally
Although not very 21st Century, millions of cars have been sold using traditional,
local methods for decades.
The process is more simple, albeit time consuming, and
for some, it's just a more comfortable fit.
Declare it
For starters, you'll want to put a "For Sale Sign" for your vehicle's window! Remember
to park your vehicle in a high people traffic area (like near a shopping mall entrance)
to get the most inquires.
Broadcast it
You can also do the same to create a custom "For Sale Flyer" to display in local
grocery stores, community and recreation centers, golf courses, churches, college
campuses... anywhere you might find an announcement or bulletin board that allows
advertising!
Syndicate it
Newspapers and "Recycler" type publications, Craigslist, and neighborhood bulletin
boards are all fair game. Pay close attention when you're driving and walking around
town to see where other people are selling their cars.
Sell it
Be prepared once your ad starts running! Once you place your ad, be ready to answer
questions. Keep a list of basic facts about your car near the phone and computer.
Print out the online sources that show your car's market value.
