Pricing
Don't Get Emotional
For most of us, maximizing your sale price is what matters the most. A crucial component to this process is knowing that the price you list the car for initially has a great deal to do with how much money it will eventually sell for.
Whether you love the car you're selling, or can't wait to get it out of your sight, pricing the car is no time to get sentimental. Take a long and realistic look at it, and then make some important assessments:
1. How desirable is this particular make and model today?
2. Is your car a "classic" or just old?
3. How many miles are left in it?
4. You can't charge someone else for your sentimental value.
5. Remember that no matter how critical you are of the car's value now, most buyers will be even more so during negotiation.
