Management Team

Mota's rapidly expanding management team brings a wealth of experience in creating and managing successful e-commerce companies.

Reza Bundy, Founder and CEO
Mr. Bundy is a proven entrepreneur with a history of leveraging technology to add value and reduce "friction" in established markets.

Reza is the founder of IronPlanet, the leading online inspection-based marketplace focused on the $100 billion used capital goods market. IronPlanet has raised $47 million from such investors as Kleiner Perkins, Caterpillar, Komatsu and Volvo and currently enjoys $250 million in gross sales for 2006.

Prior to founding IronPlanet, Reza was lead research analyst at Bain Willard Companies (founded by Bill Bain of Bain & Co). At Bain Willard, Reza researched and evaluated investment opportunities across a broad range of industries. Prior to that, Reza worked for The Economist Intelligence Unit, The International Herald Tribune and ABC News. Reza attended the University of London, where he majored in International Studies. He served as a research associate at the Harvard Business School to Professor Michael Porter. Additionally, Reza completed all executive education courses at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School for Government.

Jason V. Stagliano, Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Stagliano has over 15 years of corporate e-business experience. He has worked in project management, business analysis, systems architecture, engagement management and interactive marketing. He brings a myriad of accrued skills and expertise to Mota: bridging the gap between business and technology, strategic process design, functional analysis, enterprise-class web portal development, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives, along with User Interface/Information Architecture and interactive design.

This experience spans a broad range of industries, including Automotive, Telecommunications, Entertainment, Web/New Media and IT Professional Services. As for his corporate engagements, Jason worked at ICF Kaiser, MCI, GE, Scient, Earthlink and Disney. He began his career pursuing a technology track within the business process analysis discipline, first in software coding and database development and subsequently moving into business and systems analysis. Jason ultimately gravitated toward project management, systems architecture and operations.

Jason received his BA from the University of Maryland, earning a double major in International Business and Commercial French. Jason has been an auto enthusiast from early on, which began with his first ride in a Land Rover Series I while living in West Africa at the age of 9.

John Shiple, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Shiple has over a decade of Internet experience dating back to the birth of the web itself, where he was a founding member of the HotWired engineering team -- the first commercial website. Thereafter, John went on to re-architect the GeoCities front-end (the fourth largest site on the Internet at the time) and then went on to co-found Bigstep.com, an award-winning small business online service provider.

At Bigstep.com, John designed, built and launched its initial service in six months to support over 300,000 customers and over 50 co-branded partners. While there, he staffed and managed a team of over 15 people, including engineers, information architects, designers, web developers, usability analysts, editors and writers.

Most recently, John rebuilt the intranet and extranet systems for the Hilton Hotels Corporation from the ground up and developed the foundation for the company's large-scale data integration strategy.

John is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering and worked at the MIT Media Lab.
